Features
Male's wings are black, with a chain of small white spots on the dorsum of each forewing, and a white stripe on each hindwing. Female (form mandane) has similar features as male. Female's (form polytes) wings are black in colour, with white speckles on the middle of each hindwing and red marks below. All of them have a pair of tails.
Behaviour
Flight is slow. Caterpillar feeds on plants from the Rutaceae family as host plants, including Citrus maxima, Citrus aurantiu, and Zanthoxylum nitidum.
