AR-based Guided Tour (Session 5 – Morning Session)

From the old trees to century-old chapels, this immersive tour wove together the rich biodiversity and cultural heritage of Yim Tin Tsai. Led by our project team, participants explored habitats such as salt pans and mangroves, while also visiting historic landmarks including St. Joseph's Chapel. As one of the few Catholic Hakka villages in Hong Kong, Yim Tin Tsai bears traces of religious and Hakka cultural fusion everywhere from the architectural style of the church to the everyday customs of the villagers, each element has a story to tell. Participants not only gained ecological knowledge but also deepened their understanding of the village's religious traditions and built heritage conservation journeys. Through the AR application, they interacted and took photos with virtual animals, creating unique memories of this enriching experience.
